Leslie's Grandson's Bar Mitzvah Twinning Project
Yad Vashem's Bar/Bat Mitzvah Twinning Program is a way to strengthen a child's identification with his or her Jewish heritage by forging bonds with children who were murdered during the Shoah (Holocaust).
The Program offers the opportunity to remember and learn about the life of a child who was murdered during the Holocaust.
Leslie's grandson wrote about Leslie's first cousin, Michael Rubner, who perished at Auschwitz aged just 12.
Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD)
For many years, Leslie was invited by Brent Council to assist in the commemoration of their annual Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) event.
Watch recordings of Leslie speaking at two such events below.
